Snowcat Piste Experience

It weighs 7 tons, is 4.4 meters wide and is powered by a 240 hp engine. A true snowcat leaves impressively wide marks. Boys, big and small, dream about it. In Feldis their dreams come true: Under expert guidance, visitors learn the basics of preparing ski runs and get to know the most important functions in the cockpit. Whoever meets the basic requirements will be allowed to steer a snowcat. The successful maiden journey will then be celebrated with an aperitif, and the novice driver is awarded a diploma. Afterwards, enjoy another day on skis before your departure the next day.

In the morning transfer to the train station, where you will board the Glacier Express train, possibly the best-loved scenic rail journey in the world. It is even possible to go into the permanent ice. From the Matterhorn glacier paradise station an elevator takes you down nearly 50ft where you walk through an ice tunnel into a glacier palace which contains ice sculptures. En route you will stop in Montreux for a guided tour of Château de Chillon, a 12th century castle that rises out of the water at Veytaux. The chateaux was once used as a prison and was the inspiration for Lord Byron’s famous poem “The Prisoner of Chillon”.

After this tour, you will be privately transferred from Montreux to Geneva.
